The Japanese word Sazanami (漣) refers to small, gentle ripples moving across the surface of water. That quiet movement is reflected in the concentric circles inside the bowl, drawing the eye slowly inward like ripples spreading across a still pond.
A soft, watery blue glaze settles over the interior, scattered with natural speckles and subtle variations created during firing. The exterior has a more tactile, organic surface, creating a beautiful contrast between smooth water-like calm and raw earthy texture.
